Let me break it down for you. A Docu-Mini session is my own creation! As a documentary family photographer, I usually don’t offer mini sessions in Buffalo. My regular Day In The Life sessions take hours because I believe in capturing the true essence and story of a family.

I want to provide something special for families who are craving an update to their family photos but also want a different kind of experience. Maybe you’re not a fan of posing or maybe you just want to shake things up this year. That’s where these mini 45-minute sessions come in. They’re a condensed version of my Day In The Life sessions, focusing on capturing a single, fun family activity, along with a quick family portrait.

Now, let me tell you how Docu-Minis differ from your regular run-of-the-mill mini sessions. Most mini sessions require you to show up at a specific location, all dressed up, and ready to pose for 15-20 minutes. Talk about stress! But with Docu-Minis, we’re flipping the script. I’ll come to your home, or we can meet at your favorite family outing location like a playground or park, and we’ll spend a delightful 45 minutes together.

We’ll start with some light and fun poses to get everyone in the frame together, but only if you’re up for that. The real magic happens when we switch into documentary mode. You just do you, and I’ll capture those authentic, extraordinary moments of your family life. No more forced poses or awkward smiles!

Now, you might be wondering what exactly we’ll be doing during our mini session. I get it, it might feel a bit strange to have me hanging around while you go about your daily activities. But trust me, it’s all part of the fun! I want you to feel relaxed and be yourselves while I click away. Have a few activities in mind that your family enjoys. Something as simple as climbing a tree, running through sprinklers, or jumping on the trampoline. The possibilities are endless! We can talk those through more when we hop on our call together.

When it comes to what to wear, I want your family to feel comfortable and be yourselves. Whether it’s your daughters favorite Princess Elsa dress or your go-to shorts and tank top, wear what makes you feel joyful and authentic. Fanciful or casual, it’s all good! Just be prepared for some unexpected fun moments. It’s all part of the adventure of letting us capture your everyday life!

After our session, you’ll have some amazing photos to cherish. But here’s my advice: don’t let them sit on your phone forever! Print them out and display them proudly in your home. Let those genuine moments of joy be a constant reminder of your extraordinary family. I’ll give you some great options for print labs to make these photos framed on the wall worthy.

Your Docu-Mini session fee includes 8 high-resolution digital files of your choice. You can download and print them wherever you like. And if you want more, no problem! You’ll have the option to purchase additional photos from your gallery. I work with top-notch labs and suppliers who offer handcrafted, luxury products. They are committed to quality and sustainability, ensuring that your family story is preserved for generations to come.
